I was born and raised in San Francisco where I've worked as a chef, teacher and school principal. As a new retiree, I'm devoting much of my time to helping teachers and their students with literacy instruction. The innovative strategies and techniques that I've honed over the past 33 years form the basis of a unique literacy program, Intelligent Intervention, designed to help the most challenged students who are floundering at the bottom of the at-risk pool.
